Tess Holman recently had the pleasure of planning a trip for three travelers to Peru. They covered the country from Machu Picchu to Lake Titicaca to the Amazon Rainforest! Read more about their trip below.

We just got back and I can hardly put into words how amazing our trip was! Everything about it was wonderful and every plane, pick-up and tour went off without a hitch and was coordinated so well. We have done a lot of traveling and we have spent a lot of time trying to figure out which line to get in, which train/bus to take, and which direction to go once we get there–what a relief to not have to worry about any of that!!

We were on the go practically every moment, but had enough down time to recharge and enjoy our surroundings.  You certainly picked experienced, top of the line [ground handlers] to partner with for our Peru vacation. They were superb at coordinating everything and their knowledgeable guides were amazing. Each were highly professional, so enthusiastic about the rich history of their region, and very friendly with excellent communication skills. The drivers were all friendly and helpful and the vans clean and comfortable.

Every person we dealt with in the jungle were also exceptional and we had the best time there. The Tambopata Research Center is AMAZING, the 3 sided rooms were the BEST, and every excursion was a delightful mix of history, folklore and so many animals and birds to photograph and watch in their natural habitat. I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Peru to include at least a 3 night stay at this wonderful facility in the jungle!  I was a little apprehensive going into it (big bug fear!) but we were pleasantly surprised at the minimal amount of mosquitoes and other bugs (maybe the time of year helped!).

Everywhere we went the food was good and some of the hotel breakfast buffets were incredible. The accommodations were also very nice–big rooms, great views, wonderful amenities. Besides our jungle lodge (WOW! No words), the Hotel Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo was gorgeous and the breakfast and dinners that were included were very good! Everyone, everywhere was so hospitable, helpful and friendly!

Overall, this was one of the BEST vacations I’ve ever taken–mostly due to the incredible planning that you did before we even arrived. I would highly recommend Esplanade Travel to any and all that want to adventure to Peru. Loved, loved, loved it!
