Exciting news out of LAX: a new connector has opened between Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT) and terminals 4 through 8!

Gone are the days of riding a shuttle between terminals, only to face another long line of security. The new connector will make transferring between terminals a breeze, and passengers will stay behind security, thus avoiding additional security checkpoints. The connector goes directly from TBIT to Terminal 4. From there, passengers use tunnels and walkways to connect to terminals 5 through 8.

This is especially useful for passengers flying on Qantas and American Airlines. American utilizes Terminal 4 – now just a short 5-10 minute walk to the international terminal.

Air New Zealand customers connecting from United flights also benefit and can use the series of walkways and tunnels mentioned above. United uses Terminal 7, and passengers can stay behind security as they make their way to TBIT. This walk should take no more than 20 minutes – a vast improvement on the previously used shuttle buses.

Making the deal even sweeter is a new fast-moving four-lane TSA Checkpoint at the connector for passengers arriving at LAX and a streamlined baggage process for those getting off international and connecting to domestic flights. Not to mention a host of retail and dining opportunities – after all, you’ll need a way to occupy all the extra time before your next flight!
