As we look forward to future adventures we want to take a moment to look back upon some of our favorite food while traveling. We hope to spark your interest and your appetite!
Our first visual temptation comes from Vietnam where Holly enjoyed a Vietnamese crepe filled with seafood.
Next up is one of Tess’s favorite meals, a lunch time feast from Hua Hin, Thailand.
Here Hattie enjoyed a traditional Hot Pot meal in Shanghai, China.
Ksusha enjoyed the French Polynesian national dish of Poisson Cru at Le Taha’a Island Resort and Spa on the serene island of Taha’a.
Not far from the Islands of Tahiti in New Zealand Rebecca enjoyed this unique appetizer of charcoal bread seasoned with an olive oil spice blend at the Dark Sky Diner in Lake Tekapo.
Across the Tasman Sea, Jacky enjoyed a beautiful seafood platter in Watsons Bay, Sydney, Australia. It was so good she went twice, which coming from Jacky is very high praise!
Jill, our Director of Africa, wanted to emphasize the importance of Sundowners during a game drive in South Africa.
In contrast, Ksusha enjoyed this feast of a lunch at the Cheetah Plains Private Game Reserve, South Africa.
In northern Africa Tess experienced Egypt’s national dish of Kushari, also a popular street food. It is made up of rice, lentils, macaroni, tomatoes, onions, and a delicious mix of spices.
Up in Europe, Diane enjoyed this creative, beautiful and delicious tasting menu including a courgette tartin and watermelon to dip into whipped chevre cheese at Verjus in Paris, France.
Rebecca enjoyed a High Tea three tier platter across the Channel in Nottingham, UK. She believes that tea time should be celebrated everywhere. The bottom tier is your savory – finger sandwiches and mini quiches. The middle is your traditional scones, jam and clotted cream. Finally, your top tier is the sweets! There were 2 cupcakes and 2 cuts of cake, each surrounded by fresh berries and a little powdered sugar sprinkled on top.
We hope that these beautiful food pictures have made your stomach start to growl and given you a taste of the world. If you would like to discuss any of the meals above or traveling to any of the places listed please reach out to info@esplanadetravel.com.
