Here at Esplanade Travel, we are very lucky to be able to plan special trips for clients to meet their every needs. In November we were contacted by a couple wanting to travel to Africa with their daughter and her boyfriend. In July, Alex told us of his intention to propose to his girlfriend while in Africa. With pleasure, we worked with Mala Mala (one of the camps they were staying at in Africa) to set up the perfect proposal. Below is the testimonial from Alex when they got home:

I’m fairly certain we’ve told everyone that this was the best trip we’ve ever been on. South Africa is such an amazing place. Our only concern is that we aren’t sure how we’re going to be able to top it for the honeymoon so we’ll probably need your help with that!

As to the proposal, your guys’ help was perfect and our time at Mala Mala was really unforgettable. As they had said, I spoke to Lucky, our ranger, after we arrived, and we came up with this plan for the afternoon game drive to go to one of his favorite sundowner spots at the top of a bunch of rocks looking out over the bush. He arranged for one of the other rangers to go out before we got there and set up a table with champagne at the top of the rocks. As promised, he did manage to get us away from the in-laws by saying that it was unsafe for more than 2 people to climb up at a time, so Kristi’s parents stayed in the Range Rover while we climbed up. It really was perfect. Oh and we did manage to spot a leopard on the way back to camp…really an amazing place.
