Travel to Chile
Where Adventure Meets the
Soul of South America
Chile is truly one of the most remarkable places on Earth. A land of extremes and superlatives, this sliver of a country on the western edge of South America – over 2600 miles long, but only 110 miles wide – is home to the world’s driest desert among other natural phenomena. From snow-capped volcanoes and icy fjords to sunny beaches, fertile vineyards and underwater caves, almost every kind of landscape is here.
A NOTE FROM THE EXPERTS
The iconic Easter Island, known as Rapa Nui to the natives, is counted as one of Chile’s many islands. Its friendly people, top-notch accommodations and dining, and wealth of recreational opportunities make Chile a memorable and always surprising destination.
UNIQUE EXPERIENCES
Trekking in the dry Atacama, vineyard tours just outside of Santiago, skiing year round in the Andes, and taking a cruise to the Antarctic are just a few of the things one can do while in Chile.
OUR FAVORITE TIME OF THE YEAR TO GO
The best time to visit Chile depends on the region you plan to explore. Generally, the best time to visit central Chile, including Santiago and the Wine Country, is during the spring (September to November) and autumn (March to May) when the weather is mild and the landscapes are at their most colorful. For visiting the northern regions like Atacama Desert, the best time is during the dry season from April to October, while for the southern regions like Patagonia, the best time is during the summer months from December to February when temperatures are warmer and outdoor activities are more accessible.
INSIDER TIP
Visiting the Atacama Desert offers a mesmerizing journey into one of the driest and most otherworldly landscapes on Earth. Here, you can witness stunning salt flats, geysers, and lunar-like landscapes, soak in natural hot springs, and marvel at some of the clearest night skies in the world, making it a haven for stargazers and adventurers alike.
