Travel to Brazil
Where Every Beat is a Celebration of Life
The rousing country of Brazil is world-renowned for its beautiful beaches, exuberant people and warm weather. The vast range of environments that can be found in Brazil’s 3.3 million square miles makes it one of the most biodiverse countries on the planet. As home to over 60% of the Amazon rainforest, Brazil is home to thousands of different species and even more that have yet to be discovered! As it was once a Portuguese colony, Portugal’s culture had an impact on the country’s main language and religion. The diverse mix of European and African cultures created a new post-colonial Brazil that embraces well-known traditions such as samba and capoeira.
A NOTE FROM THE EXPERTS

UNIQUE EXPERIENCES
The famous Carnival of Brazil that begins on Fat Tuesday is famous around the world for being one of the year’s best street parties. The elaborate costumes and samba styles found at Carnival are reminiscent of silver screen star Carmen Miranda, who exposed the world to Brazil’s bright culture in the early days of cinema.
OUR FAVORITE TIME OF THE YEAR TO GO
The best time to visit Brazil depends on the region you plan to explore. Generally, the dry season from May to October is considered the best time to visit most parts of Brazil, including popular destinations like Rio de Janeiro and the Amazon rainforest, due to the pleasant weather and lower chances of rainfall. However, if you’re planning to visit the northeastern coast, such as Salvador and Recife, the dry season from September to March is preferable, while for the southern regions like Florianópolis and Porto Alegre, the summer months from December to March offer warmer temperatures and ideal beach conditions.
INSIDER TIP
Visiting for Carnival? Immerse yourself in the local culture by participating in the blocos, which are street parties featuring live music, dancing, and vibrant costumes. Additionally, consider attending the Sambadrome parade in Rio de Janeiro to witness the elaborate floats and samba dancers of the samba schools, but be sure to book tickets well in advance to secure the best seats and experience this iconic Brazilian celebration to the fullest.
