The Mayflower returns to Plymouth, MA
Our President Jacky Keith had the exciting privilege of witnessing the return of the Mayflower after an extensive restoration period:
After a lengthy absence resulting in a complete refit, the Mayflower returned to Plymouth, MA last week. We joined hundreds of small boats in Cape Cod Bay to welcome her as she came into view looking spectacular under full sail!
In 1957 I had recently emigrated to America, and watched with great pride as the Mayflower sailed into Plymouth from England. It was hard to believe this new Mayflower followed the same route as the original ship in 1620.
