Air New Zealand has been working for years to reduce carbon emissions by saving fuel and was able to cut fuel use by 15%. They successfully completed the world’s first commercial aviation test flight powered by the sustainable second-generation bio fuel jatropha, which has played an important role in the certification of aviation bio fuels for airlines globally.
