Adding to its long list of accolades, Air New Zealand has recently been given multiple awards at TripAdvisor’s first Travelers’ Choice Awards!
The awards won were quite impressive, including:
- Best Premium Economy Class in the World
- Best Airline in the South Pacific
- One of the top 10 airlines overall in the world
TripAdvisor collected customer feedback for over 12 months to establish the winners in multiple categories, and it is no surprise to the Esplanade Travel team that Air New Zealand came out on top. We have partnered with Air New Zealand for years because of their high level of service, safety, and reliability.
In an interview, Air New Zealand’s General Manager of Customer Experience, Anita Hawthorne, commented, “Listening to customer feedback has helped us make strides to improving our customer experience – including significant investment in new technologies, innovative inflight products and aircraft interiors, and our new and refreshed lounge spaces. It’s incredibly satisfying to see customers acknowledge the efforts of our people to deliver a seamless travel experience, right across our network.”
In addition to these recent awards, Air New Zealand has been making strides in other aspects of their service as well. The airline is currently in the process of rolling out inflight WiFi on its jet services – making the long trip to New Zealand even more comfortable, especially for those who value getting work done on the flight or keeping in touch with family back home. This is quite a big achievement considering that Air New Zealand not only operates some of the longest flights in the world, but also flies across areas that have poor quality satellite service. It has been a long and at times challenging process – but one they see as necessary to continue providing top-of-the-line service to passengers.
Air New Zealand is committed to improving the flying experience even beyond the obvious. The airline is actively pursuing measures to be more sustainable in a multitude of ways – from giving back to the community through their “Airpoints for Schools” program (where frequent flyers can donate their air miles to schools), to participating on teams and advocating for all airlines to have a smaller environmental impact.
All-in-all, Air New Zealand is hard to beat. From customer satisfaction, to inflight amenities, to reliability, to sustainability – this airline excels in every arena.
And anyway – if you’re already en route to one of the best destinations in the world, why not fly on the best airline?
