We’ve used Diane’s services twice;  the first was the fulfillment of my wife’s desire to ride the Orient Express (it’s still running!  Do it!), and the second was a spur-of-the-moment escape to Ireland.  She knocked it out of the park both times.  Beyond booking flights and hotels-more on this later-she was a wealth of information and tips on where to go, when to go, and what to do.  Here’s an example;  she recommended that we get a small car with an automatic transmission for Ireland.  After driving the narrow, twisty roads on the ‘wrong’ side of the road for one day, I said a silent prayer of thanks for her prescience.

She does her homework.  In Ireland, she found us a bed and breakfast that was like staying in Downton Abbey (albeit on a more modest scale) run by an lovely woman who baked the best gluten-free scones in the world.  No exaggeration.  Diane found us a villa in Italy that was straight out of ‘Under the Tuscan Sun.”  It’s safe to say that I would never have found these on a travel website, and even if I did, I’ve learned the hard way that just because a place is highly-rated doesn’t necessarily mean it’s good.
