Fiji
Fiji is filled with natural beauty that draws visitors from around the world. Fiji works well as a stopover on your way home from Australia or New Zealand, but it is also a standalone destination where you could easily spend up to two weeks. If you have three nights or more, it is worth visiting the Mamanuca or Yasawa islands that arc north of Fiji’s main island. Along with postcard-perfect white sand beaches, there are ocean reefs and clear cobalt blue waters prime for snorkelling or world-class diving, and, if you venture inland, there are local villages, waterfalls and rainforest to explore.
You can see many of Fiji’s 333 islands in the distance as you approach Nadi by air. Since many of the little islands in Fiji only have one resort, or possibly two, the relaxation is supreme. Travel is very easy and you can island hop by helicopter, seaplane, speedboat or ferry. Exceptionally friendly people make Fiji one of our favorite places.
