Holly’s passion for international travel began after spending a semester abroad in Florence, Italy. She fell in love with strolling down the streets of historic Florence with a panino and gelato always in hand. She spent her weekends discovering European cities from Prague to Santorini. Through this she developed a deep appreciation for learning about diverse cultures and exploring different parts of the world.
Since then Holly has had the opportunity to uncover two new continents through traveling to Vietnam and Tunisia. She spent two weeks at the SOS Children’s Village in Da Nang, Vietnam, where she taught English. Then she ventured to Tunisia where she spent a week along the lovely Mediterranean coast. All of Holly’s travel experiences have brought her new perspectives on the world and enriched her vocabulary – and food palate!
Holly’s Favorite Travel Day
“When I was studying in Florence, I took a weekend trip to Interlaken, Switzerland, where I had the opportunity to go snowshoeing through the Alps. It was very rigorous trekking through the snow but once we got to the top it was worth every drop of sweat. The view of the snow capped mountains with the sun shining in the clear blue sky was absolutely breathtaking.”
Holly is thrilled that she gets to spend her days planning and arranging travel. She encourages everyone to get out of their comfort zone and go experience the world! Holly’s best piece of advice when traveling is not be afraid to speak the local language, try authentic food dishes, and interact with the local community!
